New York-based publishers Rizzoli are releasing a new book in February entitled "Rebel Youth: Karlheinz Weinberger", featuring the influential Swiss photographer's portraits of "rebel youth" in the sixties. While Karlheinz Weinberger is also known as the pioneer or male erotic imagery, he also left an indelible mark on the fashion world with these shots of working-class teenagers and their biker jackets, denim jeans, bouffant hairdos and James Dean insouciance. A legion of contemporary fashion-industry leaders have been profoundly influenced by the playful, fiercely individual photographs in this stunning volume and continue to reference his work to this day.
