Inspiration: The Bike Riders
I really feeling the biker look right now and came across this amazing set of images on the Leisure blog featuring the archival book, The Bike Riders.

the book was originally published in 1968 by MacMillan and is still a rare and much sought-after publication for bikers and style enthusiasts alike. Many of the photographs were taken during 1965 and 1966 in the Midwestern United States while Danny Lyon, the photographer, was a member of the Chicago Outlaw Motorcycle Club.
Some of the images (especially the bottom right image in the above collage) are so reminiscent of Versace’s recent F/W 12 runway show that it really cemented the trend for me.
For their recent F/W 12 showcase at Bread and Butter Berlin, Levi’s Vintage Clothing also heralded the biker movement as a key inspiration for their look and ive been noting greaser washes and customized and studded denim both on the street, on directional tumblrs and on the runway.
